The plumber and the electricians pulled out all the stops and finished all of the prep work for dental surgery 3 over the last week. Thanks to Guy, Nick, Jonny & Jack.
This week it’s the flooring team’s moment of glory. We’ve been working with John Storr (on the left in the picture) for over a decade now. I don’t think he’s aged one bit… there must be some kind of preservative in the adhesive he uses!
The dental surgery flooring is of a very high clinical standard. Normally it is a relatively simple process of boarding the room and then fitting the actual covering down.
As this is the largest of the rooms we are using at FHDC for a surgery, we had the scope to be a little bit more creative. These were the original designs from Henry Schein that show how we aim to create a consulting area in the room too.
We’ve opted for two contrasting vinyl’s in grey and green (to compliment our brand colours). The grey will mark the ‘clinical’ area whilst the green will mark out the ‘consulting’ area of the room. This will all be achieved with swooping curves.
To help ensure the curves are cut correctly, a ‘life size’ drawing of the new Belmont chair has been used to position the guides…with Mrs Precious looking on and making the final decision. After all, she is the one who will be looking at it every day!
