Our practice is currently closed as we are following government guidance given to all Dental practices in England to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.
If you are registered with us and would like urgent advice during normal working hours, please use the enquiry form on our Contact page with full details of the problem and your contact information. One of our dentists will call you back to triage the problem and offer advice.
At present our dentists can offer telephone advice and prescribe analgesics and antibiotics depending on your symptoms. They can also refer you to a local emergency dental centre operating under enhanced cross infection control measures if this is required.
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE PRACTICE UNLESS ADVISED TO BY A MEMBER OF THE FHDC TEAM
If you have SEVERE PAIN, SWELLING, BLEEDING OR TRAUMA outside of normal hours please call 111.
For non-urgent questions about appointments and other general queries please use the form on our Contact page. Our emails are being regularly monitored and will be answered as soon as possible.
Please ensure that you are following all the advice our dentists and hygienists have given you, it is especially important to practice good oral hygiene during the current situation where dental practices are closed. If you are short of any oral hygiene products please let us know as we may be able to provide a service to post these to you.
We appreciate that the current situation is difficult and testing for all of us. We are a small family owned practice and we thank all our patients for their understanding and for all the messages of support that we have received. We look forward to opening the practice and welcoming everyone back as soon as we are told it is safe to do so.
In the meantime we hope that you all stay safe and well.
Our advice to patients on Coronavirus (Covid-19) is as follows…
Firstly check the NHS Coronavirus website for the latest information as this is changing frequently and advice may have changed since this post. Current advice is as follows…
Stay at home to stop coronavirus spreading
Everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
You should only leave the house for 1 of 4 reasons:
- shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
- one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household
- any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
- travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home
Use the 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do. If you cannot use this service, call 111.
If you have any urgent questions, please use the form on our Contact page. A member of our team will be monitoring emails during normal working hours. Thank you.
Notes about Cross Infection Control at FHDC...
Cross infection control is part of our daily routine at our FHDC. We have invested thousands of pounds into ‘best practice’ sterilisation facilities and adopt the Department of Healths’ HTM 01-05 decontamination in primary care dental practices guidelines.
We source our dental, cleaning and sterilisation materials and personal protective equipment from reputable UK dental suppliers. Our dental laboratories also conform to stringent standards.
Our highly trained clinical team are kept up to date through continuing professional development (CPD) and our management team are continuously developing our systems, processes and policies to keep ahead of any current changes. This has included the potential risk of Coronavirus.
