Are you interested in a career in Dental Nursing in Leeds? The role can be as big as you want it to be.

Meet Gemma, FHDC’s Practice Manager. Gemma has been working with us since joining us as a trainee dental nurse in 2004. After qualifying from Leeds Dental School and becoming registered with the General Dental Council, Gemma worked with us a a dental nurse before deciding that she wanted to develop further. The practice funded and supported her through her continued professional development including gaining her dental practice management qualifications.

Gemma now leads the team at FHDC across both clinical and administration, but still likes to put on a tunic and work as a dental nurse occasionally to keep her nursing skills sharp and also understand the challenges and opportunities that her team of nurses face within dental nursing during the current time.

Whilst Gemma decided that she wanted her nursing career to develop into management, there are also other routes available including taking a clinical lead or becoming a treatment co-ordinator.

If you are interested in knowing more about dental nursing, or if you are are a qualified dental nurse looking for a new opportunity, please send us your CV with a covering letter via our Recruitment Page.
