Thank you to all of our patients who have taken the time to fill in a patient feedback questionnaire at FHDC. Not only does this provide us with invaluable comments that help us improve the quality of the dental care and service that we provide, it also is something that we need to demonstrate to the Care Quality Commission when they carry out their inspections of our dental practice.

One of our key performance indicators is that everyone who answered the question, “Would you recommend the practice to friends and family?”, said yes! This is one of our aims at FHDC. We want people to like us and help us spread the word about our lovely dental practice.

The quality of the reception team, dentist and nursing team scored very highly with the majority pf patients scoring 10/10 i.e. ‘Excellent’– overall there were no scores below 6, so with 5 being ‘average’, this means that we scored above average to excellent by everyone who completed the questionnaire.

The quality of treatment scored very highly with the vast majority scoring the dental treatment they had received at FHDC as either 9 or 10 out of 10. Communication with patients scored high with most scoring us 9 or 10.

One area of criticism was the lack of availability of dental hygienist appointments. Despite increasing the number of days that we offer dental hygiene, demand has continued to outstrip supply. The good news in this area is that we have been actively recruiting extra hygiene resource and we will be announcing a new dental hygienist to the team soon.

Another frustrating piece of feedback is the quality of the access road to the rear of the practice. Whilst we would like to do something about this, unfortunately despite our efforts with the owners of the land, we have been unsuccessful in this area. If clients do not wish to use this road, there is plenty of on street parking available in the area just a short walk away.
