I had a look at how the new third dental surgery preparation is going today. The electrician, plumber and air conditioning contractors have all been working hard to make sure that all the services are installed before the clinical floor is laid. Whilst it’s all very exciting i.e. a little stressful, there is also something quite fascinating about turning a room into a dental surgery and the managed chaos of wires, pipes and tubes.
The photo I took reminds me of a trip to the Tate Modern and Tracey Emin’s My Bed. Perhaps our practice could have a modern art ‘pop up shop’ and clients could ponder the significance of Modern Dentistry before seeing their dentist. Probably not, our job at FHDC is to make sure that a visit is as positive and relaxing as possible.
Which brings me on to an apology. If you are visiting the practice in the near future. There is some minor noise and upheaval, but it should all be ‘put to bed soon’.
