This Christmas Far Headingley Dental Care is supporting Martin House Hospice as its Christmas Charity. The aim of Martin House is to provide family led care for children with life shortening conditions. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help.
Christmas is always such a special time at Martin House, but this festive season, things are going to feel quite different. The latest lockdown restrictions brought even more challenges to an already difficult year. The hospice had to temporarily close its shops and warehouse, cancel events, and the usual festive fundraising plans have all had to change.
In spite of these challenges, Martin House be doing everything they can to bring the Martin House Christmas magic to the families who need its services. And with vital support, they will make sure that every Christmas counts.
We’ve not been able to fundraise at FHDC within the practice this year due to Covid-19 restrictions. In the past we have collected loose change and even run a 10k trail run in the Yorkshire Dales. This year we have decided to make a £500 Christmas donation from the practice and our FHDC team instead.
