Smile makeovers: At Far Headingley Dental Care we recognise that in addition to a healthy mouth, our clients want to have a beautiful mouth too. We ask the question, “If you could wave a magic wand to change anything about your smile, what would you change?”.
Whilst we do not claim to be magicians, we are highly proficient dentists who are good at listening to what you would like and then providing you with dental treatment options to deliver your perfect smile.
When your dentist provides you with a smile makeover they will consider your overall facial appearance. This not only includes your teeth colour, width, shape and alignment, it will include your lips, gum tissue and your skin tone and hair colour. We believe that everyone is an individual and your smile makeover will be custom designed to meet your unique and personal needs.
Dark, stained, yellow and discoloured teeth can give the impression of an aged or unhealthy mouth.
If you are not happy with the colouration of your teeth this could be addressed by teeth whitening, deep cleaning or dental veneers. If you have sliver amalgam dental fillings, these could be replaced with tooth coloured ones.
The colour of your teeth is an important consideration during the planning of and preparation for a wide range of dental treatments, including dental implants, dental crowns and bridges, porcelain veneers, composite bonding and dental inlays and onlays. Often it is recommended that teeth are whitened before more complex treatment so additional dental treatment is matched to the new whiter tooth shade. This means that at the end of your smile makeover you have achieved your optimum white smile.
People with crooked teeth often end up covering their mouths when they laugh, smile or talk. If you have teeth that are crooked, overlapped or have minor gaps, these can be straightened using Invisalign, Six Month Smiles or Quick Straight Teeth orthodontics or improved with dental veneers.
You may have teeth may be missing for a variety of reasons. Tooth decay or trauma may have damaged a tooth beyond repair and it has had to be extracted or a tooth may have been knocked out by a blow to the face.
If you have missing teeth this can have a negative effect on your smile. Replacing any missing teeth is a key part of what we deliver as part of our smile makeovers at Far Headingley Dental Care. Teeth can be replaced with Dental Bridges or Partial Dentures.
If you have cracked, chipped or uneven teeth, this can be addressed with composite bonding to give an overall even smile. Worn teeth can give the impression of an aged mouth. Teeth can be reshaped and lengthened to give a more youthful appearance using dental composites and veneers.
What is a smile makeover?
A smile makeover is the combination of a full facial assessment by your dentist and the design of a cosmetic dental treatment plan that combines multiple treatments in order to deliver a youthful, beautiful, white smile.
How much is a smile makeover?
As everybody is unique and personal wants and needs are different, it is impossible to say how much a Smile Makeover will cost as it will depend on which combination of cosmetic dental treatments are required. A free 15 minute Mini-Consultation is available at FHDC with one of our dentists so that you can have a chat about options.
