Do you suffer from heavily stained teeth caused by smoking, diet or consumption of red wine, tea and coffee? Our one visit deep cleaning procedure provided by our Dental Hygienist utilises Air Flow technology to enable the to clean away in minutes stains that cannot be removed by simple tooth brushing.
Here we have before and after photographs of Air Flow stain removal treatment.
A mixture of air and special Airflow flavoured sodium bicarbonate powder is combined with a focused water jet to remove plaque and staining from teeth, fast and painlessly. The results can be very pleasing with not only cleaner and healthier teeth free of plaque and calculus, but also whiter teeth too. If you are considering teeth whitening you may be advised to consider deep cleaning first as heavy staining can prevent the teeth whitening agents from working. Deep cleaning is also a simpler and less expensive treatment than teeth whitening.
The deep cleaning procedure can also be used to clean and opens fissures in preparation for sealing fissures. Deep cleaning prior to bonding orthodontic brackets can also be used to help adhesion.
The most frequent causes of teeth staining are following a poor dental hygiene routine at home, diet including tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks and smoking.
Not at all. It is a simple treatment to administer and will leave you with a fresh, smooth, clean mouth.
